Sweet Bonanza at a glance
A fruit-and-candy slot from Pragmatic Play, with tiles for the original and its sequel in the Ontario lobby.

The Wheel of Fortune Casino Sweet Bonanza pairing is a natural one: the casino is built around IGT and the TV show, but its lobby also carries Pragmatic Play, and Sweet Bonanza is one of its best-known candy-themed titles. The figures above come from Pragmatic Play's own game page. Where that page is silent, as it is for volatility, the maximum win multiplier and the bet range of the original game, this guide says "not published" instead of guessing.
What the studio does state is the core of the game: matching symbols pay anywhere, the reels tumble, and a scatter bonus gives 10 free spins with multiplier symbols that add together. Its sequel, Sweet Bonanza 1000, is a 6x5 slot with a published 96.53% RTP, and it has a place in the casino's welcome spins.
How the game works
At a glance
Pick a stake
Set the bet in the game's panel before the first spin.
Match anywhere
8-12+ matching symbols win, wherever they sit.
Watch the tumbles
Wins keep the reels tumbling until nothing new pays.
Count scatters
4-6 scatters open the bonus game.
In detail
- No paylines
Pragmatic Play describes the win rule as landing 8-12+ matching symbols anywhere on the tumbling reels. There is no payline to follow, so position on the grid does not matter, only the count of one symbol.
- Symbol payouts
On the studio page, 8-12+ matching symbols award up to 50x. That is the symbol payout ceiling, not a cap on what a full round can return.
- Tumbling sequence
The reels tumble after a win, and a sequence can chain several wins in one paid spin. The studio ties the bonus multipliers to the end of this sequence.
- Scatter pays
4-6 scatters award up to 100x on their own, as well as starting the 10 free spins.
Because wins come from counting symbols instead of lining them up, a spin can look busy on screen and still pay little. Read the paytable in the game's info screen for the exact value of each symbol; the studio page does not list them.
Bonus features and free spins
Sweet Bonanza free spins are the reason most people open the game, and they work the same way in the Wheel of Fortune Casino Sweet Bonanza tile as on the studio's page. Pragmatic Play's page keeps the feature list short, which makes it easy to remember.
10 free spins
4-6 scatters trigger the bonus game with 10 free spins in the original slot.
Multiplier symbols
During the feature, multiplier symbols worth 2x-100x can land on the reels.
Added together
At the end of the tumbling sequence, the values of all multiplier symbols add together for a bigger win.
That last point is the heart of the bonus. A single multiplier symbol on its own is modest; several landing in one sequence are summed, so the best rounds come from tumbles that keep going while multipliers pile up. The studio page does not say whether the original game can award extra free spins during the bonus, so no retrigger is assumed here.
Sweet Bonanza 1000 works differently in places. At least four lollipops start the bonus game with 10 free spins, candy bomb multipliers in it award random values of up to 1,000x, and three or more lollipops during the bonus unlock five further free spins. Multipliers stay on screen through the tumbles, then are added together and applied to the total win.
RTP and volatility
The Sweet Bonanza RTP is 96.48% on the studio page. That means that over a very large number of spins the game is designed to return C$96.48 of every C$100 staked, and keep C$3.52. The figures below are all from Pragmatic Play's two game pages.
| Slot | RTP | Max win | Grid | Trigger |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sweet Bonanza | 96.48% | Not published | Not published | 4-6 scatters |
| Sweet Bonanza 1000 | 96.53% | 25,000x | 6x5 | 4+ lollipops |
Swipe to see the whole table
The gap between the two RTP figures is 0.05 percentage points, or about 50 cents per C$1,000 staked in the long run. Volatility is not published on either page, so there is no official label to quote. With multiplier symbols of up to 100x added together in the bonus, results can swing a lot from one round to the next, which is why the simulator below shows averages and not a forecast.
To see how the Sweet Bonanza rtp compares with the other games the site lists, the homepage RTP list puts the studio figures side by side.
Maximum win
Sweet Bonanza
A maximum win multiplier is not published on the studio page. It lists three separate ceilings instead: up to 50x for 8-12+ matching symbols, up to 100x for 4-6 scatters, and multiplier symbols of up to 100x in the feature.
Sweet Bonanza 1000
The studio describes wins of up to 25,000x. Its candy bomb multipliers in the bonus game take random values of up to 1,000x, applied to the total win after they are added together.
Read a ceiling as a ceiling
A figure such as 25,000x is the most the game can pay on one bet. It is not a typical result and says nothing about how often it is reached. Stakes in the bet panel decide what that multiple means in Canadian dollars.
Sweet Bonanza demo
If you want to see the game before staking anything, the Sweet Bonanza demo is the studio's route, not the casino's.
- Pragmatic Play's own page is titled "Play Sweet Bonanza Slot Demo" and includes a full screen option for the game window.
- The studio page asks you to confirm you are 18 or older. Real-money play at Wheel of Fortune Casino needs you to be 19+ and inside Ontario.
- A demo mode inside the casino lobby: not published. Do not expect a free-play button on the casino tile.
For Wheel of Fortune Casino Sweet Bonanza play with real stakes, the demo is only a preview. A demo shows how often tumbles chain and how the multipliers feel, but it does not change the maths: the published RTP is the same figure either way. This page does not embed the game; open the studio page in your own browser if you want to try it.

Common mistakes with Sweet Bonanza
- Mixing up the two games. Sweet Bonanza is listed at 96.48% and Sweet Bonanza 1000 at 96.53%, and only the second is in the welcome spins.
- Reading a symbol payout as the top prize. The 50x and 100x figures are for symbol and scatter hits, not a stated maximum win.
- Raising the stake to chase the bonus. A bigger bet raises what you can lose, and the studio states no way to make scatters land sooner.
- Treating the RTP as a promise for one evening. It describes a very large number of spins.
- Playing without limits. Deposit limits and time-outs are part of the account tools; set them before the first session.
If play stops feeling like entertainment, ConnexOntario offers free, confidential help around the clock, and the casino's customer care can set limits through live chat.
